Bio
Sarah Farinha (née Woolner) is a BAFTA award-winning writer and a graduate of the National Film and Television School. She has written several award-winning shorts, including animation film SLEEPING WITH THE FISHES which won a BAFTA, critically lauded short MORNING which was nominated by the European Film Academy and won an IFTA, and COCOONS, which was nominated for a Royal Television Society Award and won the Wolfgang Längsfeld Award for the Most Original Film.
She completed the BBC TV Drama Writers' Programme, partnering with BBC Studios. She has developed series with Fable, Left Bank, Vertigo and Carnival. She currently has a first look deal in television with Carnival Films and is working on original dramas MARY & VINCE and LOW TOWN CROW. She is also writing PRETTY, a feature for Cowboy and Film4 which has Romain Gavras attached to direct.
Sarah is a Visiting Lecturer at the University of the Arts, London, and the recipient of a MacDowell Fellowship and Yaddo Fellowship in the United States.
