Bio

Khadifa Wong is a Director whose work spans both the US and the UK.

Her debut documentary, UPROOTED: THE JOURNEY OF JAZZ DANCE is currently streaming on HBO Max in the USA and available to buy or rent on Amazon/Apple/Sky and Rakuten in the UK. Produced by LDR Creative in Los Angeles, the film had its international Premiere at Raindance 2020 and has since picked up numerous awards including Best Documentary at the Pan African Film Festival, Micheaux Film Festival and Dance on Camera at Lincoln Centre.

Since then Khadifa has gone on to become a Jerwood Assistant Director at the Young Vic and a Screen Director at the National Theatre and was awarded the Alice Guy-Blaché Emerging Female Filmmaker Award in 2021.

In 2020 also Khadifa became a Creative Associate with Jermyn Street Theatre. For Jermyn Street she was Assistant Director on 15 Heroines and directed readings for I'm Your Rope and Masque. As Director her credits include, How I Learned to Swim, La Gringa and Adventurous (Jermyn Street), Black Women Dating White Men (Drayton Arms Theatre) and Run to the Moon (Five Plays at the Young Vic).

Khadifa is developing several projects across both narrative and documentary. She has just started production on a new documentary feature film for DEPO Film in Turkey.
