Bio

Chris is an award-winning playwright. His debut play Land of our Fathers premiered at Theatre 503 before transferring to the West End. His second play The Rolling Stone, won the Bruntwood Award, and was listed for the Evening Standard Awards. After a sell-out run at the Manchester Exchange the play transferred to London and later NY’s Lincoln Center.

On the feature side he is writing the Alexander McQueen biopic for Pathè with Oliver Hermanus (LIVING) attached to direct, a WW2-set gay love story HOMECOMING for Blueprint Pictures/Film4/Studio Canal and A SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP with Rachel Weisz attached to star for Fox Searchlight/See Saw. For television he developed the early stages of SMALL AXE with Steve McQueen, ran a room for his series THE DEEDS (with Lenny James attached to star) for Disney Star, and developed BENEATH A SCARLET SKY for Sony Tristar and Pascal Pictures with Paul Bettany attached to star. He is currently developing half hour series FETCH with Clerkenwell and CARNAGE with Merman.
